Maqdisi

Maqdisi or Muqaddasi (Arabic: مقدسي ) is an Arabic word with meanings related to holiness and to Bayt al-Maqdis, which is one of the names of Jerusalem. The adjective al-Maqdisi ( المقدسي ), used like a surname, may refer to (among others):
- Al-Muqaddasi (also called Al-Maqdisi), medieval Arab geographer born in Jerusalem
- Abu Muhammad al-Maqdisi, contemporary Jordanian Muslim cleric
