Maori Leadership Academy is an academy situated in The Manurewa High. It consists of 30 odd gifted students who will one day become maori leaders. The Maori Leadership Academy or 'MLA' is mainly focused on helping maori students achieve in a multi-cultural environment. It is the only Maori academy in the world to function in Main Stream. The Maori Leadership Academy begun in the year 2007, then it consisted of around 17 students gradually growing throughout the year.
