[edit] Manganese & Bronze in shipbuilding

There used to be a company in London making ships' propellors etc called Manganese Bronze. This was established in Victorian times when London was still an important shipbuilding centre, and produced huge propellors for liners built elsewhere such as the Mauretania. I've seen this variously named 'Manganese Bonze Company', 'Manganese and Bronze' and 'Manganese Bronze & Brass Co. Ltd'. They were in Deptford, Millwall (1905-1940s) and later Charlton I think.

I think the company was later part of the Delta Metals group which had other non-ferrous metals works in London (Enfield Rolling Mills, Enfield Cables, Delta Metals at East Greenwich etc). This now seems to be "Cerro Manganese Bronze Ltd, formerly Delta (Manganese Bronze) Ltd, a member of the Marmon group of companies" of Ipswich.

Can anyone say how if at all this company relates to the company named in this article? Pterre 14:11, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] LTI, Britains Biggest car manufacturer.

Jeremy Clarkson said LTI was Britains biggest car maker in 2000 on his show 'car years', should it be put in the article? I belive his list of manufacturers only counted Bristol, Morgan and possibly Lotus (Partly forienge owned) as every other car manufacturer is forienge owned.(Morcus (talk) 20:19, 3 June 2008 (UTC))
