[edit] Merge with Non notable councillors without ward articles

The article Sue Murphy (politician) should be merged with Manchester City Council as the article asserts no independent notability for her apart from her membership of that body. I would normally suggest Brooklands, Manchester but there is no page for her ward at present. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Abid Chohan. JASpencer 09:34, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

Also added Susan Cooley who also represents Brooklands. JASpencer 17:19, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
Basil Curley has been added as there seems to be no entry for the Charlestown, Manchester ward. JASpencer 17:22, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
Added Mark Hackett (politician) from Charlestown. JASpencer 17:48, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
Glynn Evans from Brooklands now added to merge. JASpencer 17:51, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
Eric Hobin from Charlestown added. JASpencer 17:59, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
Is it not better to move the articles about these prople to the missing ward articles and and add information about each ward? This would beter protect the page histories, stop this page becomming a long list on non-notable people and would actually help make the encyclopedia. Infact I have convinced myself and that's what I'm about to do. Andreww 18:39, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
Done - two new stubs to be expanded, 6 NN politico's no longer need worry us. (I hope this all worked ok, I'm now seeing server errors. Hoping those DB transactions work like they should). Andreww 19:25, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Tories

Should there be some mention of the lack of conservatives on the council, ie how long manchester has been tory-less Joevsimp 09:37, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
