Manzanita or Unincorporated Sausalito Houseboat Community[1] is a small unincorporated town in Marin County, California near Marin City. The community is in ZIP code 95948 and area code 415. The community is governed by county supervisor Charles McGlashan and lays in District 3.[1][2] There are 400 floating dwellings in 5 marinas.[3] The community has a history of being the drug and sex mecca for Marin County although that era has largely passed.[3]
