The Mantra Shastra is a known treatise on a large collection of mantras. It is a collection of various books written on the usage of Hindu mantras. The continious chanting of mantras is called japa.
Some of the major books which are used as reference for Mantra Shastra are
- Parasurama Kalpa Sutra
- Sharada Tilakam
- Lakshmi Tantra
- Prapanchasara
