Manjoor (village)

Manjoor is a village in the Kottayam district of Kerala state, Southern India. Manjoor is situated on the Kottayam-Vaikom route, and close to the towns of Ettumanoor and Kaduthuruthy.
Manjoor is notable for being the birthplace of Bishop Mathew Makil, the first bishop of the Knanaya Kottayam Diocese. Manjoor Bhagavathy Madam (under Kumaranallor Devaswam) and Sreekandeswara Temple (under Thiruvithamkoor Devaswam) are the main landmarks.
Pradeep P, a research student at Mahatma Gandhi University, is the historian of Manjoor.
