Mani stick fighting is an African derived martial art from Cuba. In 18th century Cuba, Spanish slave owners watched slaves fight to the death using Mani.[citation needed] At the same time, slaves in Cuba used this martial art in revolts. Mani consists of head butts, punches, palm strikes, sweeps, elbows, and some systems have kicks; the weapon part consists of stick fighting and knife fighting. Master practitioners were called Manisaros.
Mukhanda Enterprise is an organization that has direct contact with a Mani master and we have extensive knowledge of this system.
