[edit] Professional career

Moore was a 9th round selection (216th overall) in the 1974 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers[1]. He would play for the 49ers (1974-1975), the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1976), the Oakland Raiders (1976 when they won Super Bowl XI), the Minnesota Vikings (1977)[2].

After winning Super Bowl XI with the Oakland Raiders[3] in the United States, he was recruited by Australian New South Wales Rugby Football League premiership team the Newtown Jets in 1977.

Moore had a sensational start at Newtown, scoring the club's first try of the 1977 season. However he lasted only four games in the NSWRFL, after receiving a head injury in a match against Penrith prompted him to return to the National Football League.
