Manapouri is a small town in Southland / Fiordland, in the southwest corner of the South Island of New Zealand. It is at the edge of Fiordland National Park on the eastern shore of Lake Manapouri, close to its outflow into the Waiau River. A tourist boat service operates from the town.

Manapouri is a 20 minutes drive from Te Anau. It is the gateway to both Doubtful and Dusky Sounds and the starting point for local walking tracks. It is a popular tourist destination during the summer months. Commercial services include a petrol station, cafes, shops, bars and accommodation. There is a large hydro-electric power station called Manapouri Power Station at West Arm on Lake Manapouri. Most of the electricity generated serves the Tiwai Point Aluminium Smelter.
