This picture is actually a merger of two different photos. The illustration on top is an altered version of image:MantisLegGBMNH.jpg, which is from a book that is in the public domain. I took out the descriptive text in order to fit the photo to size. The bottom picture is a copyrighted screenshot from a video of a Northern Praying Mantis boxer showing the defensive hand postures of the style. I will use the merged photos in the Northern Praying Mantis article to show what the Mantis hook fist looks like in comparison to an actual mantis hook.
