The Good Samaritan Act of Wikipedia!
I'm getting sick and tired of coming across vandals who have made 23 vandalism edits without being warned, or have been warned without their vandalism being fixed. This could be fixed in a very simple way:
When Recent Changes Patrolling, and you come across a bit of vandalism, don't simply revert the vandalism and move on. Put the vandalized page on your watch list, and watch the vandal's contributions for more potential vandalism. Also be sure to give the vandal the proper warning and check their other edits, and don't just warn the vandal, but revert the vandalism too!
When you revert vandalism, you have an obligation to stay with the vandalized page you helped, and to catch any other vandalism done by the user. After you start protecting a page from a vandal, the only way to get in trouble is to attack the vandal, or to leave the page and vandal without warning, or without reverting.
