[edit] Picture
Hi... I just want to say that the picture of Mana is incorrectly labelled as "Beast of Blood." Mana's look for "Beast of Blood" was quite different. Here are sources for the correct images:
http://moonglow.nu/gardenia/images/mana/mana181.jpg
http://moonglow.nu/gardenia/images/mana/mana239.jpg
http://moonglow.nu/gardenia/images/mana/mana180.jpg
The image shown, with the blonde ringlets, was worn after the release of the Bara on Seidou album - before the release of Beast of Blood.
I suggest replacing it with a Beast of Blood image, as it is very popular among fans and cosplayers, and represents his aesthetic more completely. Yes, I know I could upload it myself but... I'm too lazy to find out how.
[edit] EGA and EGL
EGA and EGL are NOT related to visual kei. EGA is a label invented by Mana to classify his Aristocrat style "line". EGL is a label invented to classify his Lolita style "line".
[edit] Removed link for copyright violation
User 24.185.161.165, I removed your link. Please see Wikipedia's policy on linking to copyrighted works. Specifically: "Linking to copyrighted works is usually not a problem, as long as you have made a reasonable effort to determine that the page in question is not violating someone else's copyright. If it is, please do not link to the page."
The page you linked is full of material violating the artists' copyright. flowersofnight 13:42, 13 September 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Back and forth on spelling
People have been reverting the spelling of "Pride of mind" back and forth a bunch of times. The correct spelling is without the capital M, as seen on their official logo. I also removed the wiki link because Pride of mind doesn't need a separate page on Wikipedia. flowersofnight (talk) 17:31, 31 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Is there a reason why there isn't a picture?
I think it would be nice if there was a picture of the band in the article. Is there a particular reason why there's not? If not, then does anyone have an issue with me adding one? --Berserk798 02:34, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Impartiality
Tetsu went on to take a different direction in his subsequent work, and demonstrated his own strong vision and leadership. -- Doesn't sound really impartial to me.
- It's pretty much true though; I'm no expert on Tetsu's later work, but he has essentially been the major creative force behind each of his later bands. The volume of his output and his creative initiative in his projects makes it a fair statement in my opinion. It also serves to counter the myth that Tetsu was nothing but a do-nothing vocalist who was unilaterally fired by Mana. flowersofnight (talk) 14:34, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Removed Tetsu link
The Tetsu link provided is not Malice Mizer's Tetsu. The link directed to Tetsu of L'Arc~en~Ciel. Go to:
- nil - Tetsu's official home page (Malice Mizer's Tetsu)
and
This will show that they are in fact not the same person. ultrabionic_ang 16:09, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] "Gothic band in the visual kei scene"
Malice Mizer doesn't define itself as gothic; -scape-, the most cohesive and comprehensive English website about Malice Mizer and its artists, also fails to define it as being gothic. The closest it comes to is saying that they "contain gothic elements". Is there anyone that disagrees with me when I say this needs to be fixed? --Berserk798 21:02, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
- I do not, I removed the gothic rock genre because they simply are not it. I do think though that if they have influences from goth rock in the tetsu era that link to the goth rock page should be present but the info box is for precise genre descriptions, not just the influences or fringe stylings they borrow. However, I look at sentences like this,"Visually, the band abandoned their 1980s goth look for colourful historical costumes always with a gothic feel." What is "gothic" about how they dress? Absolutely nothing, it is just a buzz word used throughout the article and I do not know why. Did someone who wrote this have few words at their disposal? I think there are much better ways you can describe them, especially at the later stages.
How do you not agree with me when you've done exactly what I proposed? I think you misinterpreted what I was saying as I agree entirely with you. Berserk798 22:41, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Pictures of Each Era
Is their any way someone could put pictures of MALICE MIZER with each of their vocalists I've seen bands on other pages with a couple of pictures, but MALICE MIZER only has one? It would be more informative if each era was shown. --Visual Corruption 00:00, 28 July 2006 (UTC)Visual Corruption
- The way the picture is so frequently changed is ridiculous. Let's get a picture of each "era", call it good, and stick to them. --Berserk798 02:42, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Lyrics
Would it be unneccessary/unhelpful if lyrics were added to some of the articles about the singles and albums? I have some lyrics that I can't find anywhere on the internet (the lyrics to Saikai No Chi To Bara and Chikasuimyaku No Meiro) and I think it would be helpful... but I'd like some sort of public approval first. --ColinIam 16:43, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Bande Spelling
The band's name is apparently spelled MALICE MIZER, rather than the lower case version shown on this page. On their albums and when you place the disc in your computer, the name is in all capitals. Should we change the name this page to reflect this? 72.45.96.174 05:45, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
- See...
- The same standards apply to album and song titles (see WP:MUSTARD). - Cyrus XIII 10:29, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Issue needs cleanup
The article says that Malice Mizer was active 1992 - 2001. Since the band itself is no longer active, alot of things need to me written in past tense. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.72.221.194 (talk) 16:06, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
