Maltoporins (or LamB porins) are a family of outer membrane proteins. Maltoporin forms a trimeric structure which facilitates the diffusion of maltodextrins across the outer membrane of Gram-negative bacteria. The membrane channel is formed by an antiparallel beta-barrel[1].
