Malaysian snap election, 2008 or the 13th Malaysian general election is going to hold on 1 September 2008. At 177 days after 12th Malaysian general election. It happens due to MPs of National Front coalition were to cross over, Tun Dr. Mahathir’s move [1], and National Front coalition try to win back the 2/3 majority in Parliament
National Front coalition will be lead by Dato' Sri Mohd Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak, while the People's Pact coalition will be lead by Dato' Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim.
As predict in early by Universiti Putra Malaysia political communications lecturer Associate Prof Dr Abdul Muati @ Zamri Ahmad said it was possible a snap election could take place if MPs were to cross over.[2]
The Election Commission (EC) has informed its officers to be prepared for a snap election, said chairman Tan Sri Abdul Rashid Abdul Rahman. [3]
