Malaxa, Crete

Malaxa is a village in the Chania prefecture on Crete in the present day country of Greece. There is a population of 130 people in the village of Malaxa.[1] In ancient times the Malaxa area was under the sphere of influence of the nearby powerful city of Kydonia.[2] Malaxa is also notable for a prominent landform termed Malaxa Mountain. Malaxa is separated from the large city of Chania by the Chania Plain.
