Malå Municipality (Malå kommun) is a municipality in Västerbotten County, northern Sweden. The seat is located in Malå.

In the period 1974-1982 Malå was included in Norsjö Municipality. In 1983 it was re-established witin its former boundaries.

Smaller communities include: Adak, Aspliden, Rentjärn and Rökå.

The nearest larger towns are Arvidsjaur and Lycksele, a distance of about 80 kilometers, taking circa 1 hour. Both towns have airport with routes to larger cities such as Arlanda, Stockholm.

The nearest cities are Skellefteå, Luleå, and Umeå on the east coast, each about 200 kilometers away.

The municipality is situated with the Lapland province, and as such is characterized by a sparse population and wide stretched nature and wildlife.

Malå is also one of the southernmost outposts of the native Sami people settlements.
