[edit] Plot
The plot is based around Deuce Bigalow, a goofball fishtank repairman and fish caretaker. On one house call, he meets male prostitute Antoine Laconte (Oded Fehr), a suave fellow with an upscale lifestyle. Antoine is going on a business trip, so he asks Deuce to care for his lionfish and home while he's away. However, Deuce accidentally sets Antoine's kitchen on fire when trying to make a grilled cheese sandwich in the toaster, and, in the resulting chaos, he smashes an expensive fish tank. Deuce fears for his life and is forced to find a way to pay off Antoine for the damage. Low-rent pimp T.J. Hicks (Eddie Griffin) offers to help Deuce make enough money to buy a new fish tank, but the job isn't quite what Deuce expects. With T.J. pimping him, Deuce must briefly take over the absent Antoine's role as a gigolo. The clients Deuce meets are unusual, to say the least; they include a woman suffering from narcolepsy, one suffering from Tourette's Syndrome with coprolalia, one who weighs close to 750 pounds, and one who is so tall that her face is always cropped out of the frame.
Deuce, unwilling to have sex with these women, decides to make them feel better about themselves: for instance, the woman with Tourette's is taken to a baseball game where her insults are acceptable. During this time, Deuce is pursued by Detective Chuck Fowler (William Forsythe), who demands Antoine's black book of clients and threatens to take Deuce to jail if he doesn't comply. Eventually, Deuce falls in love with one of his clients -- Kate (Arija Bareikis), who has a fake leg. She breaks up with Deuce when she finds out that he was a prostitute hired by her friends, but they reconcile once Deuce admits he loves her and gives back the money he was paid. Deuce offers his services to Detective Fowler's wife, thus discovering that Fowler wants to take down Antoine for sleeping with his wife; evidently, Fowler's thin penis makes him a poor lover.
Deuce helps Detective Fowler please his wife via other methods, including stripping and erotic dancing, and the two make peace. However, Deuce is still taken into custody on prostitution charges, as Fowler needs someone to bring in. But, after hearing the testimony of Deuce's clients, it is revealed that he never slept with any of them except for Kate. Since he gave back the money and wasn't paid for sex with Kate, he is cleared of all charges. Using the money he did make, Deuce hurriedly restores Antoine's apartment, but, in doing so, accidentally kills the prize fish in Antoine's aquarium. He buys a replacement and returns to Antoine's house just in time. Antoine is suspicious, but can't figure out why. He taps the new aquarium and the glass shatters. He is subsequently outraged and attacks Deuce, but the overweight client shows up, comes between the two men, and saves Deuce's life. Antoine is then arrested by Detective Fowler.
