This category was nominated for deletion, renaming, or merging with another category on 2006 November 30. The result of the discussion was no consensus.

1- I wonder if there is a reason for having some of the Sahaba names not listed. I could not see Abu Baker, Omar Ibn al Khattab, Uthman Ibn Affan, Ali ibn Abi Taleb, and Mua'wiyah ibn abi Suffian and his father.

2- Also Abo Talib is a from the Sahaba based upon a Shia view.

From the above, This list has more Shia slant than Sunni slant.

also this list includes a subset of the Sahaba of Muhammad, and really I don't see a point for it. I support the Idea or merging this article with the original list. and putting Abo Taleb under Shia Favored list. --Lrukieh 14:37, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
