I don't know if you ever need to add this, but it was also mentioned in legend that Megat Seri Rama, also dying during the assassination of the Sultan, uttered a curse whereby the descendants of Sultan Mahmud may never feel peace in Bentan. This may be linked to the fact that Raja Kechik, the pretender to the throne of Johore and who claimed to be a descendant of Sultan Mahmud was never accepted by the Bentanese.
