Make it Happen is a 2008 dancing film directed by Darren Grant and starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Death Proof). The co-screenwriter, Duane Adler, previously wrote Save the Last Dance and Step Up, also films involving dancing.

[edit] Plot
Lauryn (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), a woman from a small town, moves to Chicago with dreams of entering the Chicago School of Music and Dance. But after rejection and a series of misfortunes she finds herself employed at a burlesque club. The club proves to be a place of conflict and self-discovery, helping Lauryn to realize plans may change, but dreams never do.
