"Make It Easy On Yourself" is a popular song written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David.
Written in 1962 and originally intended for Dionne Warwick, it was instead offered to Jerry Butler whose version was a #20 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. Warwick's disappointed reaction to having the song go to Butler was later fashioned by Bacharach and David into her first single ("Don't Make Me Over"), which became Warwick's first hit record, reaching #21 on the Billboard charts.

- Two other hit versions of "Make It Easy On Yourself" are of note. In 1965, The Walker Brothers took their version to #1 on the UK singles chart for a single week in September 1965. It also reached #16 in the US.
- Then in 1970, Warwick - the original intended recipient of the song - covered "Make It Easy On Yourself" and had a hit with it, reaching #37 in the US and #24 in Canada.
- In 2001, The Walker Brothers version of the song was sampled extensively by Northern Irish band Ash on their single "Candy".
