The Majestic Hotel was a nearly 400 room resort located in the scenic Ouachita Mountains of Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas, home of Oaklawn Race Track and the Arkansas Derby.
The resort's accommodations ranged for groups between 20 and 2000.
The hotel was sold in November 2006 to a group that intends to refurbish and convert it into a mix of residential and commercial properties.
[edit] History
Despite the fact that there was traditionally great competition betwee the Majestic and the Arlington Hotel, the two hotels were owned by the same group from the 1980s until late 2006. Bill Clinton's Senior Prom was at the Majestic Hotel.
