[edit] Admin Coaching Re-confirmation

Hello, previously you expressed interest in participating in the Wikipedia:Admin coaching project. We are currently conducting a reconfirmation drive to give coaches the opportunity to update their information and capacity to participate in the project. Please visit Wikipedia:Admin coaching/Status to update your status and move your entry to the Active list. Also, please remember to update your capacity (5th table variable) in the form of a fraction (eg. 2/3 means you are currently coaching 2 students, and could accept 1 more student). Thank you. [edit] Noob Question concerning Ubuntu

Hello, Mahanga, I am a very small time wiki guy, so i apologize for this seemingly stupid question. I saw your edits on the discussion page of the ubuntu article, and was wondering if you might be able to help me out. I bought a pc that has windows 2000, and have been using it with no trouble for a year now. My problem is, i have a zune, and it requires windows xp and when i bought the upgrade, it said it wasn't compatible. So now i've got an os disk i can't return, and still can't use my zune software on it. I was wondering if i got the most recent ubuntu os, if that zune software would work with that. The only reason i'm bothering you with this is because my internet connection is almost nonexistent. I live in the middle of nowhere and have crappy dial-up, and don't have time to hunt down the answer at the library. i'm sorry to bother you with this trivial ordeal.Ambartur (talk) 00:16, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Ayinla Kollington

A tag has been placed on Ayinla Kollington requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Ironholds (talk) 22:17, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Rook

Hello, thanks for the nice note! Seeing as you offered help... how do I get my references to look all neat and tidy like they do in other articles? Do I have to write all the info out every time? It is very tedious. Thanks in advance. Lucy Tamayo (talk) 01:10, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

That's exactly what I was looking for! Thank you. Sorry for not being clear, I didn't really know what I meant either :o) Do I have to write out the source information repeatedly if I'm using the same source for two different cites? I've seen other articles where the reference list at the bottom has little "a" "b" next to the links. Is there a simple way for me to learn how to do that? Cheers for the help! It's so nice to see my article be all neat looking :) When I created it I half expected to get a message five minutes later telling me off for making such crap and threatening to ban me, heh. Lucy Tamayo (talk) 03:08, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
Also, how do I get the reference text to be smaller, like in (for example) Kylie Minogue? Lucy Tamayo (talk) 03:11, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
That looks really great :D Thanks for the help. Hopefully I should be able to increase the content of the article a lot over the next few days, as the release should produce a lot of reviews that I can cite information from. Lucy Tamayo (talk) 03:27, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Waterboy poster.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Waterboy poster.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 08:04, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
