My name is Kyle. I live in the Tampa Bay area of Florida, USA. I grew up in Largo but now I live near USF, where I go to school. I love music, including classical, jazz, rock, hip-hop, and whatever else interests my ear. Also I enjoy literature, but I also read non-fiction. My username is a take-off of Gustav Mahler, whose music is a favorite of mine. It's from the punchline to one Peanuts strip, so I'm not too creative.

Regarding classical music: I like listening to (and performing!) music from all eras, but especially the more recent stuff. By recent, I not only mean contemporay works of the 21st century, but also music of the 20th century in general, including post-romanticism and impressionism from the turn of the century.
