Mahabharata or Mahabharat most frequently refers to the ancient Indian epic Mahābhārata, one of the two major Sanskrit epics of ancient India (the other being the Rāmāyaṇa).
It can also refer to any of the following adaptations of the epic:
- Mahabharat (TV series), a successful Indian television series (aired 1988–1990) produced by B. R. Chopra
- The Mahabharata (1989 film), a film directed by Peter Brook
- Mahabharat (2008 TV series), an upcoming Indian television series produced by Bobby Bedi
- Kahaani Hamaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki (2008 TV series), another upcoming Indian television series based on the epic, produced by Ekta Kapoor.
