Modern McCarthyism is a proposed term used to classify the time period post September 11th, 2001 to Present in which citizens of the World are told of the dangers of Terrorism and Terrorists. This period of time can also be referred to as the Terrorism Era.

The prominent use of the noun terrorist and its associated verbs, terror and terrorize can be construed to suggest a media mass brainwashing through repetition. [Note that repetition one of three necessary factors to re-education (external link :see [1]) Video evidence of Bush's Presidential speeches shows that the media coverage of the subject repeats these words and instills fear into the public and to lead/coerce them into action. This was very similar to senator McCarthy's repeated notions of Communism and the threat it posed on American society. As a young student I have noticed that many of my peers, even at college level, do not understand what the word Communism means; they only know that it is a negative idea.

This aspect of "brainwashing words" has happened in Germany and I believe that Germans may have had the same mindset as Modern Americans prior to which are shown in one aspect of supports the idea of Separatism which speaks of a trend of differentiation from one another which is occurring as a global phenomenon.

The word McCarthyism is used to emphasize the point that similar techniques and agendas used in the American Governmental System to portray a governmental crisis during the McCarthyism Era have shown similarities in the Post 9/11 age.
