[edit] Description and administration
Located in Magnolia, Texas, an exurb of Houston, the school opened in August 2006 in order to relieve crowding at Magnolia High School.[1] MWHS will serve grades 9 and 10 in the 2007-2008 school year and grades 9 through 12 in the 2009-2010 school year. As of August, 2007 the school enrolls approximately 600 students. The principal is Rob Stewart, who was the school's initial principal at its opening in 2006.[2] Clay Lowry and Karla Sparks are the assistant principals.
Mrs. Sparks is pretty kickass. I love you Mrs. Sparks.
MWHS offers a number of athletic programs, including football, basketball and boys' and girls' soccer. The school teams are known as the Mustangs and the school colors are maroon and gold.[3] But nobody cares about fine arts.
On Wednesday, May 21 2008 at 3:15 PM, there was a knife stabbing in the school. The two victims of the crime had been fighting due to a mishap with each others "gonad sauce", and one of them just lost it and stabbed the other. This is the first time in Magnolia School District for there to be a stabbing, and it was at a brand new school, which was only about 2 years old at the time. Hopefully a lesson was learned due to this action, because the school mainly focuses on issues of dress code such as boys with "long" hair, or people wearing "inappropriate" heavy metal bands shirts. Maybe they should stop caring so much about getting boys hair cut, and making there not be stabbings. To resolve this problem, the school had THREE extra cops on campus, which made a huge difference in decision to bring weapons to school.
[edit] Trivia
Magnolia West High School now goes by the name "Stabby Joe" High School.
