[edit] Braindead mono illustration

I assume that the top part of this illustration is supposed to be a mono cartidge. But the orientation of the coil is sideways. Mono records are encoded horizontally–not vertically. This is, the stylus is pushed from side to side. (This is why stereo cartridges might seem to be wired out of phase. Stereo records are recorded with opposing phse between channels, for mono-compatibility.)
