[edit] 15 yrs...

Is there any evidence in the film that says this movie takes place 15 yrs later? I don't remember hearing it in the dialogue... Tommyt 17:45, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thunderdome

I think we should mention that Mad Max 3 is the most quoted/sampled movie at the Thunderdome_(music_festival) and other hardcore techno music. Frigo 10:31, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Tale to Astonish

Am I the only 1 astounded that these "post-apocalyptic" societies don't have fuel, but manage to have cars, planes, jetskis, & automatic rifles? Where are they getting the spares & ammo from...? Liebowitz, canticler 20:52, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

  • From other abandoned cars, from abandoned fuel reserves or oil wells, from abandoned rifle and ammo shops, from abandoned airports. This is probably the easiest thing to rationalize in this type of film. Sir Rhosis 17:47, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

Anyone who has seen all 3 movies can witness the de-evolution of civilization. Mad Max is present day, Road Warrior is people trying to escape an oil well & fuel refinery in the Outback (Alice Springs, maybe?) and by the time of Bartertown, the cars are running on pig shit and covered in cowhide. Notice Max's car is pulled by camels. How did they get the tires? that's a good question.

its a fantasy. the movie would suck without the cars and guns. Jeffrywith1e (talk) 18:38, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
