Madshus

Madshus is an Norwegian ski and ski-equipment manufacturer, located on Biri in Gjøvik. The company produce cross-country skis, family skis ski-boots.

The first Madsus ski were produced by Martin Madsus in 1906 on a barn in Vardal near Gjøvik. The company was moved to Lillehammer in 1936, and then to Biri in 1972. In 1998, the factory was bought by K2 Sports Inc, but the skis are still produced on Biri.
While Norway was a big ski manufacturer in the past, only two companies still exist, Madshus and Åsnes .
