Madhupur is located at 24.6167° N 90.0250° E . It has 74984 units of house hold and total area 500.67 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Madhupur has a population of 375295. Males constitute are 51.13% of the population, and females 48.87%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 192109. Madhupur has an average literacy rate of 25.3% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
