Madhukhali is located at 23.5417° N 89.6306° E . It has 29201 units of house hold and total area 230.2 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Madhukhali has a population of 165438. Males constitute are 51.29% of the population, and females 48.71%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 83075. Madhukhali has an average literacy rate of 32.5% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
