"Mademoiselle" is an Electropop musical group composed of Martin de Volanges and Rami Mustaki from Paris, France. In December of 2002 they released their one and only album to date entitled Black Sun. In various biographies, Serge Gainsbourg has been listed as one of their influences.
[edit] Biography
Martin de Volanges came from a family of artists (painter and architect), which meant that he was exposed to music at a very early age. Guitar in hand, he left Paris for London in search of adventure. While there he spent some time playing with the pop-rock'n'roll group "Shine". Upon his return to France, he met up with Rami Mustaki who had been brought up in the world of politics (a diplomat father and a mother who worked with UNESCO.) Rami soon realized that music was the life for him and so he left his studies behind. The two partners found that their musical interests were divided among the piano, bass and guitar. Martin spent some time writing music for film and Rami, jingles for the radio. At the beginning of 2001, the duet started work on the single Do You Love Me in their home studio and followed that up with the album Black Sun on December 4th, 2002.
