Talk:Macquarie Park, New South Wales
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
As discussed on pages for both Global Television Studios, Sydney and TEN-10, the studios were sold to Global in 1996 when Network Ten (Sydney) moved their operations in the city. The productions still recorded there are all outsourced - Network Ten no longer operates at the site themselves.

Can someone provide some evidence as to how Macquarie Park is named after Governor Macquarie. I would have thought it was named after the uni (which was named after Gov Macquarie). The uni was there when it was still part of North Ryde. Mustard Pot (talk) 07:05, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
- The initial information is an explanation of the origin of the name 'Macquarie' in Macquarie Park. The explanation on how the suburb was named appears further down in the European settlement section. J Bar (talk) 07:12, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
- Cheers - sounds like the suburb was named after the employment area and the Uni. Mustard Pot (talk) 01:00, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
