A lot of titles of Tawara's works are given in English. They suggest that these English translations exist. But do they? Where they don't, I suggest the sequence "Nihongo to taitoru (日本語のタイトル, English title)" for the first instance of any book. Or this can be delegated to a list of works; thus for example within Bishin Jumonji:

• Katsura rikyū (『桂離宮』, "Katsura Detached Palace"). Tonbo no hon. Tokyo: Shinchōsha, 1996. ISBN 4-10-602043-2. With text by Machi Tawara. Captions and text in Japanese only.

People who don't know Japanese can ignore it and quickly see the English, but nobody comes away with a false impression. -- Hoary 07:16, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
