The Business MACO Door & Window Hardware (U.K.) LTD is an international manufacturer of window and door fittings with its main office in Salzburg, Austria. The company employs more than 2300 people in total worldwide (as at July 2007) and has a total operating area of over 140,000 m².

The Business was established in 1947 by KR Lorenz Mayer in Altenmarkt in Austria. 1952 the Business moved from Altenmarkt to Salzburg. 1971 KR Lorenz Mayer dies at work and KR DI Ernst Mayer takes over management of the company. From 1972 – 1992 the company grows in stages to 25.400 m² and 590 employees. The production plant in Trieben is opened in 1995 and extended in 2007.

MACO Fittings are produced in two production works in Austria:
A third production plant in Mauterndorf, Austria will begin production in the middle of 2008. A new assembly plant in Kaluga[1][2], Russian Federation will be ready at the end of 2008 and will serve the Russian Market.
Around 25 million windows are equipped yearly with Maco fittings.[citation needed]
