MacEwen tartan. In the sixteenth century the MacEwens were a broken clan, which was absorbed by the Campbells, this tartan is made to resemble the Campbell of Loudon tartan. Modern thread count: MacEwen Y/R4 Bl2 G24 Bk24 B24 Bk2 B4 (source: Stewart, D. C. The Setts of the Scottish Tartans.
