It wasn't clear to me even after seeing the film (French is not my native tongue)- is the title a pun on Edith Piaf's "La Vie En Rose"? -FZ 01:34, 23 August 2005 (UTC)

I'm not sure. I think it's just a coincidence though. Since ma vie en rose translates to my life in pink. And since pink is steriotypically a female color it's talk about how the main character identifies as a female.Lyo 02:00, 23 August 2005 (UTC)

I don't think this a coincidence at all, as the song is very well known in French-speaking countries. And only one character has been changed! No, this has to have been done on purpose, particularly when Piaf's cult following among GLBTQ people is considered... 84.144.68.46 18:58, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
