[edit] Page Move to M50 motorway (Great Britain)
-
- This page was moved from "M50 motorway (England)" to "M50 motorway (Great Britain)" on the justification that it also runs in Wales. Has the M50 been extended recently, because last time I went down it, it stopped a good 15 miles short of reaching Wales - terminating near to Ross-on-Wye in Herefordshire. Should this not be moved back? Richard B 12:54, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
- Well as far as global disambiguation goes, Great Britain is the numbering scheme that the road is numbered under — you wouldn't disambiguate the M55 as M55 motorway (Lancashire) would you? Owain (talk) 19:12, 2 September 2006 (UTC
- I suppose that's true, although there is a Category:Motorways in England, but no Category:Motorways in Great Britain or Category:Motorways in Lancashire; so it seems that some have decided that being an English motorway requires a mention over merely being a motorway in Great Britain. Anyway, I'm not going to get too fussy about it, just wondering why it's been moved. Richard B 19:51, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
