M.C. Brains (born James Davis[1] or James de Shannon[2]) was a rapper from Cleveland, Ohio. Michael Bivins signed Brains to Motown Records, who issued his only LP in 1992. As a crossover artist similar to MC Hammer, Brains hit the charts with three singles that year.
