Mariner 10 orthographic photomosaic of the southern hemisphere of Mercury. This mosaic is composed of images from the second encounter, covering the equator to the south pole. The dark crater at the very bottom center of the image is Chao Meng-Fu. This crater touches the south pole and is 150 km in diameter. Directly north (up) approximately 600 km from this crater is the 225 km double crater Bach.
