M-98 is the designation of a former 16.5-mile (26.6 km)[1] state trunkline in the Upper Peninsula of the U.S. state of Michigan between McMillan and Germfask, both small towns situated around Manistique Lake.

The former route of M-98 follows present day County Road H-33 out of McMillan and turns west on County Road H-44[3] to Germfask at a junction with M-77 bordering the Seney National Wildlife Refuge.
[edit] Seney National Wildlife Refuge
The Seney National Wildlife Refuge is a managed wetland in Schoolcraft County in Michigan. It has an area of 95,212 acres (385 km²). It is bordered by M-28 and M-77. The nearest town of any size is Seney. The refuge contains the Strangmoor Bog National Natural Landmark within its boundaries.

M-98 was first designated in the 1920s. It was removed from the state trunkline system in 1960. The M-98 designation has not been reused since.[2]
