I am reverting the redirection of this article to Phormium, because while phormium is possibly the predominant raw material used by Māori to make textiles, a number of other plants ( pingao, raupo, kiekie) were also used in areas where they were available, along with dog skin (kuri). Thus this article should be developed as an umbrella article with the other articles in a supporting role. dramatic (talk) 21:52, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Alright. It's going to have to be expanded quite a bit, though. The Phormium#Use by Māori section is longer than this whole article. I'd advise moving most of that section over into this article, leaving a summary there, so it doesn't look redundant.--Aervanath lives in the Orphanage 02:43, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
Once you've got this article expanded enough, I'd put a different summary as a new section on the Māori article, as well.--Aervanath lives in the Orphanage 03:12, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
