Märk hur vår skugga is number 81 of Epistles of Fredman by Carl Michael Bellman. It's about one of Bellman's female acquaintances funeral (grälmakar Löfberg's wife).
Many Swedish artists has recorded Märk hur vår skugga, among others Cornelis Vreeswijk, Stefan Sundström, Fred Åkerström and Imperiet. An English translation has been recorded by the Swedish band Candlemass and by the American doom metal band While Heaven Wept, on the album Of Empires Forlorn. English speaking Mediaeval Baebes has recorded the song in Swedish on the album Mirabilis (2005).
