Lyudmila Aksenova is an olympic medalist this is surely notable. to quote from WP:BIO

Sportspeople/athletes who have played in a fully professional league, or a competition of equivalent standing in a non-league sport such as swimming.

I would expect medalling in an olympic games to be of equivalent standing to playing professional sport. Waacstats 22:19, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
