In 1998, Lynwood High School was relocated on Imperial Highway, formerly the site of Lynwood Aventist Academy. In 2002, Mexican singer, "El Original de la Sierra" Jesse Morales stopped by to make a special performance; but his performance was cut short when the students of Lynwood High had piled him up.
