Lynn Schooler

Lynn Schooler, author of The Last Shot and The Blue Bear, has been living in Alaska for over thirty years. He is a two-time winner of Alaska magazine's grand prize for wildlife photography and winner of the National Wildlife grand prize.

The Blue Bear tells the story of the author's friendship with the Japanese wildlife photographer Michio Hoshino who was killed by a grizzly in the Kurilskoya brown bear refuge on the Kamchatka peninsula on August 8, 1996.
