In the village is a small ruined Norman castle, formerly a prison, now maintained by English Heritage. hehe, this castle is notorious as the seat of Lydford Law, and one of Hanging Judge Jeffries assizes. More to expand on this soon! Sjc 19:32, 2 September 2005 (UTC)
