Lydd Air is a British airline based at London Ashford Airport, Kent, United Kingdom. It operates scheduled charter passenger services, air charter and air freight services, as well as an ACMI or fractional ownership programme. Its bases are London Ashford Airport otherwise known as Lydd Airport and Le Touquet on the north coast of France.[1]

The airline was established and started operations in June 1997. Jonathan Gordon (Managing Director of Lydd Air) acquired Lydd Airport in June 1996 and a year later started Sky Trek Airlines as a wholly owned subsidiary of his aviation consultancy, Air Bridge Aviation. It was relaunched as Lydd Air in April 2002. The airline is wholly owned by South East Airports and has seven employees (at March 2007).[1]

The Lydd Air fleet includes the following aircraft[1] :

  • 2 Britten-Norman Trislander G-OJAV and G-BDOT, (Both are for sale with Atlantic Bridge Aviation.)
  • 1 Beech Baron 58 G-BMLM
  • 3 Piper Chieftain (already bought.) G-EMAX, G-LYDC and G-LYDF. Both G-EMAX and G-LYDC are in 10 seat commuter configuration whereas G-LYDF is in executive charter configuration.
